Internal uploaders

Java uploader - Allows you to upload large video files ( up to 10GB ). This uploader supports a connection resuming feature, meaning that you won't start all over again if your internet connection drops! This uploader requires Java installed on your computer.

HTTP Uploader - For those who don't have Java installed on their computers, and wish to upload files up to 100MB, the HTTP Uploader is the answer.

Both uploaders allow you to specify the video file title and add additional tags so you can identify and easily filter your videos.

External (detached) embedded uploaders

This type of uploaders allow you to customise and embed them in any 3-rd party websites. All videos uploaded via those uploaders ( by your viewers  or colleagues) will end up in your SVP control panel from where you can encode, host, publish and stream them after that.

How it works?

• 1. Login to your SVP control panel
• 2. Click on "Upload new video"
• 3. Click on External uploader
• 4. Customise the uploader - you can specify a static video title and tags or allow the viewers to enter them themselves. Based on these video attributes you can identify and filter the videos in your account.
• 5. Copy and paste the embed code in the source section of your website and the uploader will appear there.
• 6. Direct your visitors to the upload page where they submit their video, along with their video titles and any additional tags.
• 7. Once the file upload is completed, it automatically gets converted to the high quality Flash 8 FLV format and moved to the selected publishing solution ( Single standard, single whitelabel or TV channel playlist)

FTP Pull uploader

FTP Pull uploader allows you to pull your video files from your own FTP server into the SVP control panel from where you can then encode, host, publish and stream them.

Combined with our new API, developers can easily create their own streaming video website solutions and automate all the processes from uploading videos to automatic player publishing.

Step by step setup guide

• 1. Setup your own FTP account(s) on your own server - if you don't have one, please email us and we will create one for you.
  
• 2. Set up your FTP client software to work with your FTP accounts - we recommend FileZilla.  It's free!
• 2.1 Open FileZilla
• 2.2 Press Ctrl + S or go to File -> Site manager
• 2.3 Create new site
• 2.4 Enter the host address, server type, logon type, user name and password
• 2.5 Press connect
• 2.6 Upload  a few video files in your FTP folder
• 
  3. Setup a source folder in your SVP control panel
• 3.1 Login to your SVP panel
• 3.2 Click on Account -> Integration-> HTTP/FTP Upload Sources -> Setup new sources
• 3.3 Fill-in the form - enter friendly source name, FTP path, source type and specify user name and password ( use the same information you have entered in your FTP client software)
• 3.4 Click on "Check source" to make sure the source is correct and then click on "Save"
• 
  4. Pull your video files from your FTP folder into the SVP control panel
• 4.1 Setup auto sync jobs that will pull the video files automatically for you - click on "setup autosync upload" , then choose destination and pick your source folder
• OR
•  4.1 Click on "New manual upload" to manually pull the video files

All major video formats are accepted

You can upload & encode any of these formats:

• Flash video file (.flv)
• Windows Media(.wmv, .avi)
• MPEG(.mpg/mpeg)
• DVD(.vob)
• QuickTime(.mov)
